I went out yesterday at sunset to help my brother check his lobster pots. Although we only got two keepers amongst all the horseshoe crabs and kelp, it was a beautiful evening and so much cooler on the water than the humid mainland.
I came across some pics on the phone of the wild artichokes growing on the hillsides of Mount Washington. They are spectacular with their spikey leaves and purple tufts. The season's over but here they are, better late than never.
