White Pergola

Finished painting under eaves out front and now tackling a bigger job..... Eaves in the back and changing the pergola from brown to white. Started with the primer on some of it today.

Local Food

We have been very happy with the local produce so far..... chicken that tastes like chicken.  Amazing pork chops.  And for ice cream...... the local dairy's is hard to beat.  We also took a drive out to the Rogue Creamery to test drive some cheese and butter.  Excellent stuff.

From the Many..... One

The house came with 3 exterior coach lights, all in varying degrees of decay.  We were able to make one complete specimen out of the parts.  We sprayed it red, added an LED bug light (it'll save us $151 over it's 22 year life!) and remounted it out front.

We're 35!

The NYT has made the Rogue River one of it's 52 places to go in 2018.  From Switzerland to Columbia to South Korea, our new found home makes the cut.  Read more here

Farewell Brunch

Simone organized a farewell brunch that ended up being a six hour marathon.  It was a memorable, prosecco soaked meal.

Last Meal Brooklyn

After the movers left 235 Adams, I had a fast food lunch before going off to the closing.  Betsy and I celebrated that night with a trip to a local Brooklyn Alsatian restaurant.

Birthday at Schmidts

We drove 30 minutes south of GP to have lunch at the Schmidt Family winery.  Impressive buildings, grounds and wonderful service (thanks Karen!).  We enjoyed a flight of red and white wines but settled on a 2015 Albarino white for our meal.  Delicious.  The spring sun was perfect for our ride home along the Applegate River.
