Weekend in Littleton

Spent last weekend with my sister's family in Littleton, CO.  Did some hiking, cooking, wine tasting and a lot of dog walking and playing. We were all usually bushed by the end of our days.

Allen's Murals

 I saw this very impressive mural with my sister but went back today to take a closer look. 1929 by Colorado Springs artist Allen True. Beautiful depiction of the telegraph and telephone wires being strung West.

Van Ride

I should be taking a nap but instead, looking straight up through the van's window and fooling with the camera.

San Fran Rig

 Everything that will be getting wet gets plastic protection as we are about to test the rain machines and smoke. Meanwhile, the key grip and I stay dry on the sidelines.

Did a big night shoot up in San Francisco last week.  Making rain. Lighting up a football field.  Love this pic a rigging grip took at dusk.  2 construction cranes. 50' trusses loaded with par cans. 3 condors.  80' rain bird. 3 gennys.
Fantastic crew put it in and struck it in one day (3 crews over 26 hours).
I'm getting to relax this week in Denver.  Day Exteriors. Available light!

And Percy Makes Three

Former LA powerhouse PM and now Chicago native, Daisy Lynn stopped by for dinner the other night after a hard day at PBS.  Her beloved Percy was in tow.  He and Banco hit it off after a quick stroll around the block and a few shared homemade liver cake treats.  It was great to reconnect with her after so many years....

Between the fresh lavender and the oils that Kim recommended, Banco is being very relaxed this 4th of July.

Shortened

The guys came by yesterday afternoon and chopped off the top three feet of the hedge. It's about eight feet now.  The thing was getting too close to the power lines and now I'll be able to trim it with ease.
