Vegetarian Thanksgiving
I spent the holiday with a few nieces in MA. While one of them has fallen off the vegan wagon, the other is still firmly vegetarian. The meal turned out to be a success with stuffed squash and my green bean recipe. I also was introduced to mushball pitbull, Blue.

After 10 years, it was time to freshen up the patio lounges. The Rust Oleum Rust Reformer makes prep a breeze. Banco puts the final product to good use.

New Akunin
It's been 6 years since the last translated Boris Akunin novel hit the shelves. For Erast Fandorin junkies like me, the new english version of "All the World's a Stage" is a treat some never thought would come. There are three more books to be translated. Hopefully they can come on a quicker timetable.

Life of a Mantis
Our Desert Willow mantis has stuck around the longest. She ate bees, flies and caterpillars. WL fed her, as well. One day a skinny, slender gentleman caller flew in to pitch some woo. Her belly got even bigger. She laid her egg sack and is back to normal size again. Her belly back to dark green.

Planter
Planted some foxtails and society garlic around the base of the new planter. Will see how they fill in and adjust in a few months.
Passion Piece
Worked a few weeks ago on a choreographer's passion piece. Very glam rock and stylized. Was good not to be selling toilet paper for a change.

Birds and Sage
Along the west fence, we planted 2 Mexican Bird of Paradise plants. It took about 10 minutes before a butterfly checked out the open flowers. And behind the Desert Willow, 2 sages were added against the rock wall. BTW the Dudleya near the garage is in bloom now.
