ParaGliding

Last weekend we motored south to the LongSword Vineyard to see the finals of a paragliding competition. Leaping from Woodrat Mountain, they circled the valley and landed in the field next to the winery. Music and food trucks rounded out the day..... along with a glass of wine.

Radiant

Tile spacers came out and radiant heating coil went down today.

We came around the corner and are now tackling with turning the front red.

Grants Pass Pharmacy

I was waiting for a prescription and decided to have a small cherry coke from the pharmacy's soda fountain.  Original to the store, you can get ice cream sodas, phosphates or even a bromoselzter to ease a funny tummy.

ReThink

The glazed penny rounds proved to be too slippery.  So before they were glued down, we substituted the same slate tiles we will be using for the rest of the floor.

Finishing Up

The tiling is almost complete.  The walls were finished and floor put down.  Today it's the bench and grout.

Trapped For The Night

A deer got caught in our backyard last night.  Jumped over the bramble but couldn't get back.  She stayed under the redwood while Banco barked at her.  This morning she had exited her cover and was sleeping on the lawn.  I opened the side gate and tried to get her through but she retreated to the redwood.  After sussing out the situation and 2 short hops later, she returned back to less confining territory.

Pizza Garden

The guys worked half a day today so at 1, WL and I motored south to the Applegate Country Club.  Their specialty is wood fired pizzas.  The gardens in the back are extensive and beautiful.  The beet salad was massive.  And the pizza was superb.  Karen has told us that there is no good pizza in the valley but this new joint has proven her wrong.

Someone's Dream is Fullfilled

Cherry Pie

Our neighbor dropped by with a cherry pie for breakfast this morning.  Her cherry tree is bursting.  WL went over yesterday to offer some pie first aid has her attempt was a bit mushy.  But the doctor put everything right and it was a delicious/alternative morning meal.

Bathroom Takes Shape

The end of week one and the guys installed the shower pan with bench.  Also pictured is the striking symmetry of the sink/ dueling medicine cabinets area. The sink itself is 40" long from Italy...... double spigots.

Kitchen Light

Found a great old copper retractable kitchen light this morning.  Looks to be in good shape.  Will wire it up and see if it explodes.
