At 104, Olivia de Havilland was the last of the 1930's technicolor actresses. Beautiful and tough as nails, she and Bette Davis made Jack Warner's life hell. In 1943, De Havilland sued and won to smash her contract with Warner Brothers. It is called De Havilland Law.
She is also remembered for her fierce feud with actress/sister Joan Fontaine. They never reconciled and were bitter rivals to the end.

New Doors
The final push to finish the basement. Paul came and started to replace the remaining battered and beaten original doors. Old windows leave next month. Then it's painting and reorganizing.

Tons of Plums

Lake of the Woods
We spent the day at the Lake of the Woods Resort. Robin rented a kayak and I got my new Sea Eagle RazorLite out on the water. The lake is gorgeous. We saw a bald eagle fishing. Nice to see Mt. McLoughlin raising up from the treetops. Finished up the day with a pizza at the resort's small marina.
