Lavender Festival

 

Bruce, Lindsey and I ventured into the Rogue Valley to visit the English Lavender Garden during the yearly Lavender Festival. Looked great, smelled better. I had some amazing rosemary lavender gelato.

I went to Applegate Lake yesterday to see how far I could paddle into California.  With the lake being so full, it seemed like a great time to try. Within about 100' of the border, there was a bridge with a rapid underneath.  No way I was going to get past that. So close. I could see Cali but not quite get there.

No Kings in GP

Several thousand folks showed up at the courthouse today for the No Kings rally. Lots of great signs. No nonsense from the few Trump supporters across the street. A great morning that then segued to the annual Porch Fest music festival in the NW part of town.

Beautiful spring day at Willow Lake. Didn't see any of the eagles but did see the lakeside roses all in bloom.
