New Light

Hung the new kitchen light this morning. Not quite as bright a I'd wished but still good. It comes with a remote..... can change color temperature and intensity.

Tiled

5:30, 10, 4

They finished mudding and sanding yesterday which gave me one night to paint the kitchen.  They left at 5:30 and the primer went on.  At 10pm, the first coat of paint was applied and the second layer rollered on at 4am.  I finished at 6am, rested an hour and then did a nice walk with Banco.

Out of Whack

We might be part of the problem but the medium income in GP doesn't keep up with rental fees.  Only Miami is higher.

Mud and Cans

The can lights got finished up yesterday and the first coat of mud applied.  Today is going to be messy. Sanding, more mud, more sanding.

Primed and Sealed

We are taking advantage of a warm day to put another layer of sealer on the counter tops and to sand and prime the new portion of kitchen wall.

New Doors

Big holes in the walls today.  Both sliders in the back are being swapped to patio doors today. Luckily the temperature got up to 50 today...... so not too cold inside.

Pantry Wall

Yesterday, the walls got evened and the new pantry wall got framed.

Coffee Barrier

Considering how much mouse poop was in the walls, I guess this innovative solution kept the little guys out of the kitchen.

Kitchen Graveyard

The front yard is now the old kitchen's graveyard.

The Night Before, The Day After

Over the weekend, we moved the kitchen to the front room.  The old kitchen empty and now, demolished.  Plumbing starts tomorrow.

Living Room Storage

 It's a kitchen/library mash up in the living room. Kitchen demo starts Monday.

I accompanied Karen on a house looking mission in Azalea.  Afterwards, we did a small hike around Cow Creek and Bear Rock.
