Lake of the Woods

The rains ended and the clouds parted for a lovely morning on Lake of the Woods. Only 4 souls this week braved the morning chill.  Once the sun came out, layers were shed quickly.
 

That Ol' Devil Diesel

I put some diesel in the Mercedes yesterday.  Today I heard that diesel gets really expensive next week.  I went to top it off, and in one day the price went up 23 cents. Probably my last below $7 diesel for awhile.
 

First Sensor

I got and wore my first continuous glucose sensor two weeks ago. It came off after 13 days....was supposedly good for 14.  The last few days the readings got more erratic.  The communication with the phone app got glitchey. Before the problems though, it was nice to see real time readings.  
Worked well in the water.

More Planting

Replaced a dead New Zealand Flax with some more small Shasta Daisies.  The deer never let a crepe myrtle grow so I replaced it with an Autumn Cranberry sage. That finishes the front.
 

Fall Garden

With the gym closed for a week, I've been spending 90 minutes a day in the gardens. Today on one of the back rock walls, I ripped up a bunch of leggy oregano and a rosemary bush. I replaced them with two sun roses and a Grosso lavender.

Out front, a dead Blue Swiss Stone pine is replaced with 'Radio Red' salvia.
