He's Home
Seven got released from the hospital today. Exploratory surgery revealed tumors on his pancreas. The biopsy came back as cancerous. Pancreatic cancer is very aggressive and chemo resistant. The only saving grace from immediate euthanasia was that one of the tumors sat near a duct leading into the small intestine. The blood and crap it discharged into the intestine is what brought us to the hospital. So they were able to cut out a lot of that tumor and he seems to have his life back for awhile. The mesh t shirt hides a feeding tube we will be using when he does not eat enough on his own. The prognosis is for 2-3 months.

Sending happy karma your way. We lost our first pup to pancreatic cancer a few years ago. Cherish the time you have with him; good pups always seem to be whisked away from their families too soon.
