Greedy Squirrels

They found the bird feeder.  A blue jay objected but it's attack was successfully repelled. I was in the front yard when I heard the back yard squirrel chatting with the front..... a moment later, the front yard squirrel leapt out of the tree and hopped along the driveway to the backyard.  Who says animals don't communicate?

They Found It

A Christmas bird feeder was being left unused until this morning when several figured out what was hanging there. For the moment, our plump squirrel is happy with the dropped seeds and staying on firm ground.

A New View

Today we found a very interesting old mirror on Craigslist to hang out back.  Now when people eat, they can see sky and mountains instead of blank wall.

Perfect Winter's Day

Finally warming back up a little bit. We've never seen so many blooms on the honeysuckle before.  The recent downpours did everything great and now a few days of sun should get things growing.

Scrap Yard

Earlier this week, Ellen was shooting north of LA in a scrap yard. We spent the day crushing cars.  Fave sound mixer Shawn H got a little too close to the action.

Posing

Earlier this week, I spent the day on a process trailer driving around Santa Clarita.  DP John Zilles caught me in semi-heroic moment.

Approaching Rain

Driving down the mountain from a scout in Palmdale this afternoon. The last rays of sun before clouds and rain tonight.

Cause and Effect

While in London, we had some indoor rain with our jumping rugby players.  Some wedgie inducing altitude aid produced the perfect catch on camera.

Sad Sacks

While the rest of the city seems to be done with the rain, our little corner seems to be stuck under a cloud. A heavy rain ladened cloud. No matter, we'll take as much as the heavens will give us.

Calamityware

What to do with some disposable income......? We received our set of Calamityware today.  Fine china but instead of Greek keys or 18th century milk maidens, these plates are adorned with the fantastic horrors of artist Don Moyer. Rampaging robots, flying monkeys, alien attacks.....Eat, Drink and Be Wary.

Acrobats and Goalies

A few shots from last week's London job.  A very limber lady and one of the firm's own.....a production manager who had to let the ball pass him every time. Damn!

Hyde's Italian

We were very close to the Italian Garden near the Lancaster Gate of Hyde Park. A beautiful spot to read or catch one's breath. A little further on, the Albert Memorial looms over a bunch of tots out for some futbol practice.

Camden Locks

My first morning in London, saw me hopping a tube to the Camden Lock Market. The locks are still in fine working order. The old stables still have a lot of the ancient details and iron work. Crowded but beautiful place for a little shopping.

Trip to the Tate

Bonnie and Lily's last day with us saw us hopping in a cab for a very slow and expensive ride to the  Tate Modern.  We passed by Trafalger and the big Blue Chicken there in.  At the museum, we saw an excellent exhibit on Sigmar Polke and a Poetry and Dream show. The tube provided a much quicker way home.
