We have Art!

Our small, little local museum has gotten almost four dozen paintings and prints to sell for a scholarship fund. Familiar names like Braques, Miro and Picasso are represented. I'm gonna have to go and take a look.  Online auction ends March 16th and can be viewed here

Chopped

A toe that has been a perennial problem was cleaved from my body today. Incredible fast and easy surgery. Fast and easy recovery. So glad to have this festering ulcerated horror gone.

Robin Barrels On

Not content with just painting the living room, Robin decided that a long despised accent wall near the kitchen needed to get repainted as well.  So while the others were moving furniture and rugs, she soldiered on with the exorcism of the previous color.

Transformation

I've been helping the T's remodel their living room. Yesterday we did the painting. I hung a japanese lantern which LT equipped with a smart bulb to get any color they wish. We also rolled out the new carpet and started to fill up the new bookcase.
Now we are waiting on the new 9' sofa, the Eames lounge and a Brazilian modernist media center.  It's all coming together well, so far.
The dogs behaved themselves and there wasn't a single yellow painted paw.

Art Glass

For the living room remodel, I searched for some interesting glass pieces for a new console table.  My favorite being the Bohemian amber stag pitcher.  It's magic when the sun hits it.

Year of the Dragon

The year of the Rabbit (my sign) gives way to the Dragon today. The Dragon symbolizes power, nobility, honor, luck and success.  The world could use these traits right about now.

Pleasant Plaisance Ranch

Last week was Lindsay's birthday.  She'd never been to Plaisance Ranch so we had a little party for her out there.  Excellent wine and a lovely farm in the valley.

A few days later in JVille, Becca made tacos and we all got a good dose of doggy love.

Unwanted Visitor

We recently had a baby hawk (we think) arrive by the new bird feeders out back. All the other birds took the hint and stayed away. Have not seen our uninvited guest since.
