One of the youngest men ever to head a studio passed away this week. Richard Zanuck was 27 when his father tapped him to run Twentieth Century Fox studios in the mid 1960's. It is his tenure here that is immortalized in John Gregory Dunne's amazing book, The Studio. He would go on to produce the first summer event blockbuster with a young Steven Speilberg. The film was "Jaws". Amongst the hits and the flops, he always reigned as the last of the Hollywood mogul princes.
