I took a ride last week up to Crestline and AD's mountain retreat. Only an hour away from LA but so far away in feeling. Several thousand feet above San Bernadino, it's always 10-15 degrees cooler there and the cabin's hillside had a rush of purple wild flowers. The road along the town is aptly named the rim of the world.
